“So, I’ve got my PB2 powder,” you might be saying to yourself. “Now, how do I get creamy peanut butter out of it?”
Wonder no more. Lucky for you, creating peanut butter from PB2 is simple. We recommend mixing a ratio of 2 tablespoons of PB2 powder to 1.5 tablespoon of water, but feel free to experiment with the proportions, according to your own spreadability preferences and recipe needs. Try starting simple: Create a classic PB&J using the recommended ratio and adjust from there, to see what you like best.
You might also be thinking, “What if I want to use PB2 regularly, but don’t feel like mixing it every day? Can’t I just mix a big batch at once and keep using that?”
The short answer: We don’t recommend this. The PB2 powder was formulated to be used on an as-needed basis. Any extended storage of PB2 after it has been mixed into peanut butter may affect the taste and texture. If you do find yourself with leftover peanut butter (and you don’t want to just gobble it all up with a spoon), store it in a tightly covered container in the refrigerator. You may store it this way for up to 48 hours. After that, if it has not been eaten, please properly dispose of the mixed peanut butter.
